こういう時代ですから、個人情報の管理に気を使いますよね。企業、団体、個人を含め、データ管理の重要性を再認識しましょうという日なのです。

take notice 自覚する、気に留める
全くその通りですね。いわゆる GAFA は、個人情報の保護に後手後手ですからね。
一番確実なのは、個人がソーシャルメディアにまったく参加しないことですが、このご時世、なかなかそうもいかないでしょう。ですからシステム管理者側には大きな責任が生まれます。
