石川県能登地方では震度6強の揺れを観測したあと地震活動が活発で、気象庁は1週間程度は同じ程度の揺れを伴う地震に注意するよう呼びかけています。

「震度」は日本特有の地震の揺れを表す基準です。世界的には
magnitude マグニチュード
を使いますよね。でも日本では逆にピンと来ない場合が多いです。
shindo 震度
としてもよいのですが、日本人や日本在住の外国人にしか伝わらないかもしれません。そこで

と説明する必要があります。
ちなみに、 seismic は 地震に関する という形容詞です。
